# Bridge

Transfer supported assets between connected blockchain networks using the Clovis Bridge and track the destination release.

Bridge moves a supported underlying asset between connected networks.

Bridge transfers the asset itself. It does not create an Earn or Borrow position unless the user chooses a separate flow that includes another product.

## How Bridge works

Clovis coordinates the source transaction, cross-network instruction, settlement, and destination release.

The source and destination networks can be different, so users do not need to move the asset to the liquidity hub or settlement layer themselves.

## Transfer an Asset

1. Open **Bridge**.
2. Select the source network.
3. Select the destination network.
4. Select the asset.
5. Enter the amount.
6. Verify the recipient address and destination network. Review the estimated receive amount, bridge adapter fee, and other displayed costs.
7. Approve the asset in your wallet if requested.
8. Confirm the source transaction in your wallet.
9. Track the destination release in Portfolio or Transaction History.

### Track a Bridge Transfer

The source transaction can confirm before the destination network releases the asset.

See [Transaction Status and Recovery](/clovis/portfolio/transaction-status-and-recovery.md) and use Retry, Refund, Cooldown, or another recovery action only when the app displays it for that transaction.
