# Add or Withdraw Collateral

Learn how to add collateral to a Clovis Borrow position or withdraw available collateral back to a Flexible position.

Add eligible collateral to an existing Borrow position or remove collateral when the position’s risk limits allow it.

Use **Portfolio** to review your positions. Open the relevant market on **Borrow** to access its transaction form.

### Accepted Collateral

A **Single-collateral market** accepts only the collateral specified by that market.

A **Multi-collateral market** accepts up to three eligible collateral assets in one position.

For example, the USDC Euler market accepts clocbBTC, cloWETH, and cloUSDT. Other markets have their own accepted collateral.

Collateral in one market does not support debt in another.

### Add Collateral

1. Open **Borrow** and select the market for your existing position.
2. In **Supply collateral**, choose an accepted asset.
3. Enter the additional collateral amount.
4. If applicable, use **Add more collateral** to include another accepted asset.
5. Review the transaction details and resulting position health.
6. Follow the approvals and wallet confirmations shown by the app.
7. Check the updated position in **Portfolio**.

Review the transaction summary to confirm whether you are only supplying collateral or also borrowing more.

If you start with an underlying asset in your wallet, the app may first deposit it into an Earn position before using it as collateral.

### Withdraw Collateral

The app determines how much collateral can be removed while the remaining position meets the market’s risk requirements.

Where supported, the **Repay** form includes a **Withdraw collateral** field:

1. Open the relevant market on **Borrow**.
2. Select **Repay**.
3. Enter the repayment amount if you are repaying debt.
4. In **Withdraw collateral**, select the asset and enter the amount to remove.
5. Review the remaining debt, collateral, and resulting position health.
6. Complete the wallet confirmations shown by the app.
7. Check the updated Borrow and Earn positions in **Portfolio**.

Follow the controls available for the selected market. Do not assume every market supports collateral-only withdrawal through the same form. When withdrawing collateral through the Repay form, the resulting Health Factor cannot be lower than before the transaction. To withdraw more, repay more debt or withdraw after repayment completes.

### Where Does Withdrawn Collateral Go?

Withdrawn collateral returns to your Earn vault as Flexible cloToken shares and continues earning Vault yield.

To receive the underlying asset in your wallet, use **Earn → Withdraw** separately.

### Position Health

Adding collateral can improve position health. Removing collateral can reduce it.

Prices, accrued interest, Vault share values, and oracle updates can continue to affect your position after the transaction.
