# Repay and Close

Repay part or all of your Clovis Borrow debt, release your collateral, and close a Borrow position.

Use **Portfolio** to review your debt, then open the relevant market on **Borrow** to make a repayment.

## Before You Repay

Check that your wallet holds the repayment asset and enough native gas for the required transactions.

The amount needed to clear the debt can change as interest accrues. Review the latest amount shown by the app before confirming.

### Repay Part of the Debt

1. Open **Borrow** and select the market for your position.
2. Select **Repay**.
3. Choose the repayment source chain if the form offers that option.
4. Enter the amount you want to repay.
5. Review the remaining debt and resulting position health.
6. Approve the repayment asset if requested.
7. Confirm the wallet transactions shown by the app.
8. Check the updated debt in **Portfolio**.

Partial repayment reduces debt while leaving the position open.

### Repay the Full Debt

1. Open the relevant market’s **Repay** form.
2. Use the full-balance option shown in the form.
3. Review the final repayment amount, including accrued interest and any displayed buffer.
4. Complete any required approvals and wallet confirmations.
5. Check that the debt balance is cleared after processing completes.

Do not rely on an earlier debt amount when making a full repayment.

### Repay and Withdraw Collateral

Where supported, the Repay form includes a **Withdraw collateral** field.

Enter the repayment amount, select the collateral asset, and specify how much collateral you want returned. Review the transaction summary before confirming.

For a partial repayment, the remaining position must still satisfy the market’s risk requirements. The app limits how much collateral can be withdrawn. When withdrawing collateral through the Repay form, the resulting Health Factor cannot be lower than before the transaction. To withdraw more, repay more debt or withdraw after repayment completes.

Repayment alone does not automatically withdraw collateral. Include a collateral withdrawal explicitly if you want to remove it through the supported flow.

### Close a Borrow Position

To fully exit a position:

1. Repay the remaining debt in full.
2. Withdraw the released collateral using the controls available for the market.
3. Confirm that no debt or collateral remains in the Borrow position.

Where supported, repayment and collateral withdrawal can be included in the same flow. Otherwise, follow the remaining action shown by the app after repayment.

### Receive the Underlying Asset

Withdrawing collateral returns it to your Earn vault as Flexible cloToken shares.

To receive the underlying asset in your wallet, use **Earn → Withdraw** separately. Repaying debt and withdrawing collateral do not automatically redeem your Earn position.

### If a Repayment Has Not Updated

Open **Transactions** and check the status before submitting another repayment.
